I haven't eaten my breakfast so I will have my late breakfast and early lunch. So lazy to cook so went out and grab my brunch to the nearest "Sinangag Station" it's a mini restaurant serving breakfast meals.

I'm so excited for my 2nd redemption that I forgot to take my breakfast and my tummy is gargling and mumbling for food. I ordered one of my favorites "Sisigsilog".

Sizling Sisig is a Filipino dish made from parts of pig’s head and liver, usually seasoned with calamansi and chili peppers served together with sunny side up egg and fried garlic rice so delicious and yummy.

I am full now burping for the yumminess of my BRUNCH.

Belen(a creche or nativity scene) can be seen in homes, churches, schools and even office buildings. The ones on office buildings can be extravagant, using different materials for the figures and using Christmas lights, parols, and painted background scenery.




Simbang Gabi(a series of nine masses) mostly Catholics,Filipino's begin a novena on December 16th.  Filipinos go to church at four o’clock in the morning and afterward have breakfast together. A traditional drink during this season is a warm ginger tea called salabat and a traditional treat is a flat but thick yellow rice cake called bibingka  not just at home but on almost every corner.On every block, especially the ones close to churches, there are food stands or stalls of these Pinoy Christmas goodies. And in the country side, a band might even play Christmas carols; medleys to awaken people and lure them to attend the service. On Christmas Eve, the final Christmas mass is celebrated with much ceremony, color and lights.

When I visited US 2 years ago I was really amazed with there Thanksgiving celebration since it's really a time off for them and they really prepared for this celebration like pot roast turkey is always present,pumpkin pies,mashed potatoes and gravy and a variety of thanksgiving food.But,what really amazed me is what they call "Black Friday".

I keep asking myself why is it called "Black" it's kind of creepy or scary for me. So it's for me to find out. Well, Black Friday in US is the biggest shopping day of the year I have a seen a lot of people waking up so early go to the stores of their choice and fall in line together with a huge crowd as early as 4 AM. Crazy right? but it's true because all of the prizes really goes down it's the biggest sale ever it's really the time to shop hoping to save on their Christmas shopping.

Now I know why is it called "Black" and there are a lot of reasons on it maybe because all of the prices goes down,it's the biggest sale of the year. It is called "Black" because a lot of shoppers will be emptying their pockets. The bad side is a lot of shoppers has led to chaotic scenes and outbreak of violence. Stampedes and shootings will always plagued the day and there is even a group of activist campaigning for a "Buy Nothing Day" to allow shop workers to spend more time with their families.

Whatever it is "Black Friday" you just have to be out in the midst of all of it. So shop til you drop because it's really exciting and just be careful for stampedes. Happy Shopping!

I don't believe in ghost. How about you do you believe in them?

I was raised with a strong and firm faith in God. My parents are very religious even them do not believe in such things they will just say it's a product of your imagination.

But, I have this bad experience once when me and my daughter move into a new place since it's nearer to my workplace. It was an abandoned old house for almost 10 years that we rented and the owners parents died and she needs to go back abroad because she migrated there. At first I was so happy since I rented the place so cheap and it's within the budget. The first 3 days was good we cleaned the house buy some things for decorations. Then I started working graveyard living my 8 month daughter to her nanny. Then unusual things happen when I got home I was informed by my nanny that she couldn't sleep since my daughter keeps on crying and there I found out a lot of bruises on my daughters body and I have her checked up on her doctor and everything is alright. So same routine need to work but every time I got home a lot of things happen like scratches on my daughters tummy and rashes on her legs it was a hell of a week for me then and I keep going back to my daughter's doctor and even them couldn't give me an answer. My nanny is already scared and told me that something bothering her every night that it's not only us living in that house as if someone is watching us and I don't believe her until one night since I'm off at work there I experienced the most terrifying night of my life. I woke up because my daughter keeps on crying I'm about to stand up to check her but what I saw is a black lady standing and staring on my daughter's crib couldn't see her face because her hair is long and somewhat it's silhouette. I wanted to scream but I can't I wanted to stand up but there's somewhat a force that stopping me so what I did is throw my pillow and then she vanished. I was really confused and feel blank that night and I say to myself maybe It was just a bad dream never said to anyone maybe they will say I'm crazy. But, after that every night unusual things happen and it keeps on happening every 3 AM there is one instance that I woke up a little black boy playing on my daughter's toys and there is also a black guy will just passed by 
while you're watching TV.

Even though I don't believe in them but now I can say they really exist the bad side is the ghost living in that house are black and evil. So I decided to move out since my daughter couldn't sleep at night and with the bruises and scratches maybe it's a sign that we need to get out and leave them in peace.

We heard everyone has their own Christmas theme or colors depending on their moods. Some will say I will have a white,blue, green etc...

There are several colors associated with Christmas and what do this colors represents?

White Christmas

Every one loves white Christmas it represents the snow of winter and it is associated with purity and peace and I know everyone is dreaming of a white Christmas.

Blue Christmas

Also means a sad Christmas since you are away from your family or spending Christmas all by yourself. Blue color represents as a sad emotion.

Red and Green Christmas

We always associated Christmas with red and green because that's the way we've always done it. 
red means love and happiness and green means the colors of holly,ivy and mistletoe it's a color of everlasting joy.

For me I will be celebrating a Gold Christmas this year why gold because it's a color of the sun and light both very important in the dark winter and both red and gold are the colors of fire that you need to keep warm. Whatever color you want it's the spirit of Christmas counts. Enjoy because we only celebrate Christmas once a year.

What a great day to make a great dessert. It's weekend time to make something sweet and yummy. It's a great time to do it together with your kids and today's recipe is my own version of Chocolate Mallow Mousse!

Ingredients:

4 piece chocolate mallows,diced
2 tsp unflavored gelatin
4-5 tsp chocolate drink powder
1 tsp sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose cream
1 can Fruit Cocktail,drained or you van used fresh fruits diced

Procedure:

1. Arrange chocolate mallows in individual serving cup. Top with fruit cocktail or fresh fruits diced.

2. Mix gelatin with fruit cocktail syrup. Heat to dissolve. Stir in chocolate powder and sugar. Set aside.

3. Beat cream until fluffy. Add gelatin mixture gradually while beating. Portion cream mixture into prepared cups.

4. Cover and chill until set. Top with remaining fruit cocktail or diced fresh fruits. Serve with whipped cream.

Make 6-7 servings!

The richness of chocolate combined with chocolate mallows and fresh fruits or fruit cocktail makes the perfect all-out weekend dessert for an all-out weekend bonding with the family.

Prevention is always the best cure. To prevent you from influenza,coughs and colds drink at least 8 glasses of water or fresh fruit juices or make your own vitamin water. It is rich in vitamin C,potassium etc.

Add fruits instead of sugar for a natural sweetener cut the fruit into paper-thin slices or small chunks. You can used fresh lemon/cucumber,strawberry/lime or Fennel/Citrus,Blackberry/Sage,Watermelon/Sage,Pineapple/Mint or apple/cinnamon and Ginger/tea.

You can mix and match and combine ingredients with water. Refrigerate 4-6 hours and serve over ice. So delicious and very refreshing. Enjoy!

Mermaids were part of our childhood and our history. No one knows the truth if they difinitely live or they were just a product of imagination and folklore. Many say they are real but some says they don't. But, while enjoying my rest scanning things in "You Tube" I found this video  that a dead mermaid found in the Philippines after the hurricane I don't know if this is true or not but I find it quiet fascinating.  I keep on dreaming  and hoping that I can see a real mermaid but until now haven't seen one.

Well, for me this only a creation of the imagination a Myth or Urban Legend perhaps. But, we don't know what creatures living down deep. 

Im tried and lazy to cook today and my tummy is already rumbling and craving for food. It was indeed a busy day for me because I have to finished my laundry  so I don't have the time to prepare and cook. 

Good thing that we can just call for a food delivery it's a wise way for busy people. My daughter loves to eat pizza and Im craving for it as well. I love pizza especially when it's hot, I love the mozarilla cheese on it as well as the pepperoni and I love eating pizza with hot sauce on it hmmm.

Pizza and ice cooled cola makes my day complete. Mr. Tummy is quiet now already full and contented. Happy Dinner everyone! :-))

I really hate doing laundry but I have to do it or else it will pile up(ahhh! do I have to do this every week). Well, it's really hard because I have to do it with my precious bare hands and Im not doing it with the help of my washing machine I love doing handwash than machine wash because clothes are clean and fresh if you're doing it manually or handwash.

The problem for handwash is your back will really ache especially if you're washing "heavy duty" clothes not only your back hurts but also your hands especially if your using bleach and detergent at the same time. Good thing today I have my little helper my 8 year old daughter and she really insisted that she will be the one to wash her undies and school uniform and I let her to do it. At least at her young age her sense of responsibility is starting to develop and I'm really proud of that.

I've finished everything and it's a relief but Im really beat up and all I want is to lay down and sleep. But, I couldn't sleep maybe Im tired but not sleepy so that's why I'm here reading post enjoying the rest of my day here in Bubblews.

Plastic Surgery nowadays is rampant if you have money then you can do what you want. It's like Photoshop but more expensive funny right? Plastic Surgery in Korea is really different because doctor's can make special wonders they can make you like a "doll".

I've seen a lot of video clips in You Tube  a lot of cases having facial deformities and was transformed to a beautiful maiden. For me, it's somewhat good for those who are experiencing low self esteem because of living a life of ridicule,laugh and mockery of being ugly. I just hope once they are beautiful only there physical appearance will change but hopefully personality will stay the same.

I love to watch TV Series and I have watched a couple and my top list are Game of Thrones,The Walking Dead ,Breaking Bad and Prison Break I love all this series especially "BREAKING BAD". But, now I'm so addicted to the life and series of DEXTER MORGAN.

"DEXTER" is an  American television drama series. The series centers on Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter pattern analyst for 'Miami Metro Police Department' who also leads a secret life as a serial killer  hunting down criminals who have slipped through the cracks of justice.

Story indeed is incredible a "SERIAL KILLER" that only murders bad guys. You will really  enjoy each episodes it is quite sick,twisted and darkly funny. This is one of the best TV series for me.  It's simply amazing.

Turkey Time and the traditional Thanksgiving bird often gives a lot of surprises whether a sign of relief coz it's a success or a feeling of grief because the result is just that bad and can ruin the whole Thanksgiving preparation.

I prepared this simple tips for newbies and pro's to make this meal perfect.

 I always recommend a smaller turkey than the bigger one because it cooks faster and it has more flavor  compared to bigger ones. Always remember that turkey has a mild taste but you don't worry for that coz our spices will overpower that taste and make our turkey taste better.

Our main ingredient of course is a 16lb turkey and should be properly thawed. Frozen bird need plenty of time to thaw before roasting. Allow at least one day of thawing time in the refrigerator for every four pounds of turkey. A quicker thawing method is in cold water. Place the still-wrapped bird breast-side down and cover with cold water.Never set a frozen bird on the counter to thaw.

Stuffing: I used butter,sage,thyme,salt and pepper,chopped celery and rosemary. Arrange the chopped celery and rosemary inside the cavity of the turkey and then tie the end of the legs together using a kitchen twine.

Butter Mixture: Combine butter, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Place half of the butter mixture in between the skin and the meat of the turkey. Do this by creating an incision on the lower breast and then insert your finger to separate the skin and meat. Brush the remaining butter mixture all over the turkey.

REMEMBER:  If you plan to stuff the turkey, it is important to do so just before roasting to prevent any harmful bacteria growth. Don’t prepare the stuffing or stuff the bird the night before. Also, be sure the bird is completely thawed, and don’t tightly pack the stuffing.

Roasting time: Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Roast for about 20 minutes and then pour water on the roasting pan. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover the turkey with aluminum foil. Continue roasting for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Remove the foil and then roast the turkey for 30 to 45 minutes more.

IT'S TIME: How to tell when turkey was ready. Use the eyes and a fork or a knife. When the skin stareted to turn golden to brown,prick the turkey with fork or pointed knife all the way to it's bones. The juice that ran out should be transparent and colorless not pinkish or redish.

Always remember that OVERCOOKING is the main reason for a dry bird.

Blackheads is really annoying to our face and sometimes having it drives you crazy on how to get rid of it. If you suffer from them then good luck you've perhaps fighting for a never ending battle. A lot of products claim that they can vanish this blackhead problems but what is really the best? But, please dont prick or extract this with your fingers it will get worst,infected or will leave you a bad scar.

According to Wikipedia Blackhead is a comedo or a clogged hair follicle in the skin. Keratin(skin debris) combines with oil to block the follicle in other words dirt and oil combine produces this blackheads.

So I have a few tips on how to get rid off this annoying blackheads.

1. STEAM expose your blackheads to steam. The heat from the steam produced by boiling water will help open up your pores and release the dirt and oil backed up inside. Once you remove that bacteria, your black heads and white heads will heal much faster. Boil water and pour into a shallow bowl. Place your face over the bowl, putting a towel over your head to trap the steam. Stay there for about ten minutes, then immeditaly wash your face with a mild soap to remove the dirt and oil you just released.

2. ALOE VERA contains an ingredient that can calm down the swelling of your acne and speed up the healing process. Either use the juice from an aloe vera plant or buy aloe vera gel at the store. Rub the gel or juice into your black heads and let it evaporate into your skin.

3. Toothpaste – Toothpaste is an effective blackhead remover. Apply a thin paste to your infected areas and let it sit on your face for at least 25 minutes. You will probably feel a burning sensation when you apply the toothpaste, but this is normal and will pass. Once you remove the toothpaste, the top of your blackheads and whiteheads will disappear, but you still need to thoroughly wash your face. Repeat this home remedy every other day for two weeks.

4. Rice – Soak rice in milk for 5 hours and then grind this in a blender until it is paste-like in consistency. Use the paste as a scrub on affected areas of the body.

5. Potatoes – Grate raw potatoes and then rub the area with the mixture. Wash it off after 15 minutes.

6. Honey - is also good for removing blackheads. Spread honey on the affected area and remove it after 15 minutes

7. Tomato – Tomatoes have natural antiseptic properties that dry up whiteheads and blackheads. Peel and mash a small tomato. Apply the tomato pulp to your blackheads and whiteheads before going to bed. Leave the tomato pulp on your face while you sleep and then wash your face in warm water in the morning.

8. Cornstarch – Mix about a three-to-one cornstarch to vinegar ratio into a paste. Apply it to your problem areas and let sit for 15 to 30 minutes. Remove the paste with warm water and a washcloth.

Always be gentle to your skin. Never pinch, scrape, poke, press, or squeeze too hard!

Love to eat today something spicy and superb. Since I worked graveyard after shift went directly to the wet market to buy fresh crabs. I tried one of the best tasting crabs in my life at Bobby J's Spicy Crab and Red Crab here in the Philippines and they all tasted excellent.

I tried to replicate my version of Spicy Crab to one that I've tasted at Bobby J's.

MAIN INGREDIENTS:

crabs
mashed sardines
spicy tomato sauce
ground pepper
butter
garlic
ginger
orange softdrink/soda

PROCEDURE:
1. Boil the crabs with orange softdrink for 10 minutes then set aside.
2. Saute garlic and ginger on 2 tbsp of butter.
3. Add the boiled crabs.
4. Add the mashed sardines.
5. Add tomato sauce.
6. Add small amount of ground pepper.

Simple, Spicy and delicious...Enjoy!

I wake up awful and I don't feel it's my day either. I really have a very bad dream. I dreamed last night that on my way home a very black dog bit me on my leg and I can really feel the pain even if it is a dream. What scares me is this dog won't let me go eventhough I keep on shouting and asked for help. I can really see and feel on my dreams the dogs teeth are very sharp and long and the face of the dog is like a hyena. But, whats unusual is my mother was there she passed by me and I asked for help but as if she does'nt know me. It's really a nightmare.

I hope the meaning of this dream is not that bad. I remember one of my friends told me that if you dream of a dog it means someone hates you or it's a heads up that trouble is coming or an enemy perhaps. I just don't know what it is. I hope someone has a good interpretation for this.

Lunch time folks! So I prepared this easy to cook super delicious mouthwatering Crispy Shrimps with honey and walnuts good for the whole family as well as for friends,relatives and  visitors.

So easy to cook and you'll be done less than hour or roughly around 30 to 40 minutes. Preparation time would be 30 mins and cook time around 8 to 10 minutes. If you wanna try then I have the perfect recipe prepared for all of you guys.

Ingredients:

1 lb. Shrimps the jumbo once is fantastic, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 eggwhites
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups oil
3 tablespoons mayonaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice/calamansi/white vinegar whatever comes handy
1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk my secret ingredient
1/2 head shredded cabbage

Directions:

1. Mix cornstarch and egg whites together to form a thick, sticky mixture. Mix shrimp into this mixture and set aside.

2. Boil walnuts in 5 cups water for 10 minutes; drain.

3. Place walnuts and 1/2 cup sugar into 2 pints of boiling water. Boil for another 10 minutes.     Remove walnuts from water and coat with honey.

4. Heat 1/2 cup oil and deep fry shrimp until golden. (Put only a few in at a time or they will stick together). You can also fry the walnuts after the shrimps are done make sure they are shiny and brown.

5. Place fried shrimps and walnuts on cookie sheet or tissue to cool.

6. Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice and condensed milk in a medium bowl until smooth.

7. Mix shrimps and walnuts into mayonaise sauce.

8. Serve over the cabbage  the sauce is great with it.

We usually go out every Sunday. It's usually a special day for me and my daughter. It's a day were  I can find time to be with my family since it's a rest day for me from work . I usually find ways to bond with my kiddo and Sunday is the perfect day.

It's quiet hard being a single mom were you need to manage your time from work and your family. Eventhough it's hard but I love being a mom and being single that's why I see to it that I also have quality time for my daughter.

Today, we rather choose to stay at home coz it's really a lazy Sunday coz it's raining. So decided to just simply watched movies , or my daughter can play video games. I just want to stay at home lay down on my bed and be lazy. But, my daughter invited her bestfriend played and watched a lot of cartoons stuff today. So better hit up my oven and cook cupcakes and popcorn and a refreshing ice cooled lemonade well do.

I just don't know why children loves sunny side up eggs,crispy fried honeycured bacon and garlic fried rice for breakfast. 

My daughter really loves this mouthwatering set of breakfast prepared especially for her. But, do you know whats the main ingredient why children loves to eat especially there ever loving mom cooks this very special breakfast coz whatever it is it maybe pancakes,sausages or hotdogs as long as you cook it with love and nothing more but love you will have the perfect food prepared especially for your cute little ones or your loved ones perhaps as the saying goes "The way to a man's heart is through her stomach".

Since our ever beloved pet sassy is already old. I decided to adopt another puppy for my daughter she is a mix breed of dalmatian and Labrador this 2 1/2 months old puppy we name her "Baileys" sounds refreshing right? 

I really wanted a pet dog aside from they are man's best friend they have a certain connection to humans as long as you love,care and treat them well. 

They have a certain emotion like people does. So my little "Baileys" is part of the family already what's good she is my daughters playmate and a younger sister. She loves to play and really sleeps a lot.

One thing I learned is when a dog comes in to your lives, there is always a reason to LAUGH coz they are really cuddly and fun to be with.

Last night around 6Pm we light a candle for all the victims of  the 7.2 Magnitude earthquake that hit Philippines last October 15 and recently the devastation caused by the super typhoon Yolanda.

Everybody not only Filipinos are working hand in hand to bring hope for those victims. Either ways a lot of problem arises  especially the lack of coordination and the slow movement of our government but life must move on eventhough it's very hard for some after all of the traumatic experienced it's one of the challenges and struggles we need  to face. 

We should always remember that ther is always HOPE and it will never leave us even in the darkest period of our lives coz it's our ray to lighten us up and HOPE never fails as long as you believe in yourself.

What is the real essence of a woman? 

 An overused question in beauty pageants. But I never realized the real score of this question until I became a Mom. The moment I became one (a mom) I realized that true love is selfless. I came to a conclusion that being patient is not just a regular virtue but a trait that should be retained in our beings 'till the end of time. I learned to appreciate more my parents, my siblings and my family. I began to realize the real meaning of sunrise and sunset. And that in every rain there is always a rainbow after. I began to cherish more the memories of each passing day. I've learned how live healthy, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Being a mom, is not and never an easy job, but it's the most rewarding of all! And because of my son I also learned to live life to fullest and be a person to others. What ever it may take, I will fight for this - I am a MOM and PROUD to be one!
