Lunch time folks! So I prepared this easy to cook super delicious mouthwatering Crispy Shrimps with honey and walnuts good for the whole family as well as for friends,relatives and visitors.
So easy to cook and you'll be done less than hour or roughly around 30 to 40 minutes. Preparation time would be 30 mins and cook time around 8 to 10 minutes. If you wanna try then I have the perfect recipe prepared for all of you guys.
Ingredients:
1 lb. Shrimps the jumbo once is fantastic, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 eggwhites
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups oil
3 tablespoons mayonaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice/calamansi/white vinegar whatever comes handy
1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk my secret ingredient
1/2 head shredded cabbage
Directions:
1. Mix cornstarch and egg whites together to form a thick, sticky mixture. Mix shrimp into this mixture and set aside.
2. Boil walnuts in 5 cups water for 10 minutes; drain.
3. Place walnuts and 1/2 cup sugar into 2 pints of boiling water. Boil for another 10 minutes. Remove walnuts from water and coat with honey.
4. Heat 1/2 cup oil and deep fry shrimp until golden. (Put only a few in at a time or they will stick together). You can also fry the walnuts after the shrimps are done make sure they are shiny and brown.
5. Place fried shrimps and walnuts on cookie sheet or tissue to cool.
6. Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice and condensed milk in a medium bowl until smooth.
7. Mix shrimps and walnuts into mayonaise sauce.
8. Serve over the cabbage the sauce is great with it.
